Marc Farre and the Desert Fathers, w/ Mark Otis Johnson

Fri, November 11, 2022, 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Marc Farre

An established NYC singer-songwriter recently moved to Sebastopol, MARC FARRE brings his new band, THE DESERT FATHERS, to The Lost Church (Santa Rosa) for the first time!
Farre’s music is hard to categorize but easy to love — melodic, arty, earthy, open-hearted, eclectic, juicy. Critics have called his albums “hypnotic and intensely soulful,” and compared his sophisticated style and intimate voice to artists such as Nick Cave, Serge Gainsbourg, Lou Reed, John Cale and Leonard Cohen.
Marc sings in both English and French — a legacy of his European background. He’s released 7 albums and EPs, plus several singles, including pop gem “My Sweet George,” mixed by legendary producer Tchad Blake (Tom Waits, Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello). This evening the band will be celebrating the release of Farre’s 8th album, “Lovesick Melodies.” Come sing along!
