Founded in the 1970s, the Minería Symphony Orchestra boasts a legacy of excellence that attracts leading international conductors and artists and provides  a platform to showcase the highest caliber of national artistry.

Recognized as the leading Mexican conductor of his generation, Carlos Miguel Prieto is characterized by his dynamism and the expressivity of his interpretations. Celebrated as a rising star both domestically and abroad, He was Musical America’s Conductor of the Year in 2019.
