The New Horizons Band consists of 70 senior musicians making music for all ages. The concert will include rousing marches, a medley of Louis “Satchmo” Armstrong hits, Glenn Miller’s #1 hit: “A String of Pearls”, Scott Joplin’s “Sunflower Slow Drag” and the World Premiere of “Gary Matthews,” a trumpet quartet commissioned in honor of a Sonoma County musician. The selections include “Shoutin’ Liza Trombone” as well as compositions by female composers. Come and enjoy the music.
