Oak Hike at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park

Sun, October 23, 2022, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Oaks are a keystone species in Sonoma County, but they also hold immeasurable cultural significance for the local California indigenous peoples. Join Desirae Harp, member of the Wappo tribe, on this hike at Sugarloaf full of storytelling, singing, and cultural demonstration.

Meet at the White Barn parking lot. Bring plenty of water, sun protection, wear appropriate clothing and footwear for slippery and rocky trails, and if desired, a snack. Parking fees apply. Heavy rains cancel.

Ease of access: Meadow and Hillside trails are fire roads with two 100-foot hills and a small stream crossing. Meadow is passable by strollers or wheelchair up to the bridge, about a mile in, but is not officially an ADA trail.
