Psychedelic Mysteries of the Feminine – New Date

Sat, November 9, 2019, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Don’t miss a special evening of readings from this new book, and onstage conversation with contributing authors, Kathleen Harrison & Annie Oak, and editor Chiara Baldini.

Saturday, November 9, from 6:30-9pm.

Psychedelic Mysteries of the Feminine launches a new anthology of various authors, braiding these provocative themes: The Feminine, mythology, activism, resilience, and psychedelic perspectives.

Readings by contributing authors Kathleen Harrison & Annie Oak, and editor, Chiara Baldini. Followed by an onstage conversation about these rich topics:

What is the Feminine in these times?

What has the psychedelic experience revealed to us about archetypes, activism, and grounded wisdom?

How do we show respect for the indigenous roots of these culture-changing agents?

How does the European perspective differ from the American on these topics?

This event is a fundraiser to benefit Botanical Dimensions and its unique Ethnobotany Library.

We begin the evening with a special showing of our short documentary film, a work-in-progress, Almost Visible.  It begins to tell the tale of an American ethnobotanist’s 25 years of relationship with an indigenous healer’s family in Mexico. This film about Kathleen Harrison’s lifework is directed by her filmmaker daughter, Klea McKenna.

You may also consider a supporting membership to the Ethnobotany Library with your ticket, and receive a discount. We hope to see you there!
