On Thursday, July 13 Rachel Garlin will share songs from her new album The Ballad of Madelyne & Therese. Set in Manhattan in the year 1940, the album is a folk-song-cycle about two women engaged in a forbidden love affair. Throughout the concert, Garlin will perform her signature folk-rock-Americana songs while providing narration and guideposts as we follow Madelyne and Therese in and out of switchboard offices and speakeasies and from the beds of their husbands to the arms of each other. Join us for this special narrated concert AND album release. Vinyl records will be on sale on the night of the show.
