Join California Naturalist Laura Wagner for a 4.5-mile moderate hike to explore and experience the redwoods in a new way.
- Listen to birds that make their habitat in a redwood tree.
- Learn about animals that may live in a redwood tree.
- Touch and feel a redwood circle and find “your” tree.
- Learn how male and female redwood cones live in the branches.
- Journey to the only ancient redwood tree remaining in the park.
- Rest in a redwood meditation to connect your own roots.
Wear sturdy shoes for uneven terrain and dress in layers for changeable weather. Bring water and a bandana or eye mask for the “Find Your Tree” experience.
This hike will be cancelled in the event of extreme heat.
When: Saturday, August 10, 2024, 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Price: $15.00 per person plus the park entry fee of $10 per vehicle (up to nine passengers).
