Sakoyana at Elephant in the Room

Sakoyana is an experimental-jazz-freak-funk band from Sonoma County, California. Influenced by sounds and creations of all kinds. Primarily the music is rooted in jazz, blues, and funk, but is also influenced by western classical music, hip hop, Indian classical music, space, plants, meditation and much more.  The music strives to balance tight compositional structures with improvisation and joyful noise.
