Sean Parnell and the South County Band

Fri, August 9, 2019, 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Sean Parnell & South County recently opened for Blues Legend, Johnny Rawls at Redwood Cafe and they put on such a great show, we invited them back!

There’s over 2,131 miles between Petaluma and Clarksdale, Mississippi. Clarksdale is generally recognized as a major historical epicenter for the origin of blues music. And, it’s possible that some of the essence of those roots have been lost in transit over the years. Sean “Mudcat” Parnell is a 42 year-old blues harmonica player from Petaluma. He’s one of the comparatively younger blues players north of the Golden Gate Bridge. He draws influence from many of the greats including Paul Butterfield, Norton Buffalo and Little Walter. His musical influences include but are not limited to: Phish, Greatful Dead, Blues Traveler and Sonoma County native Eric LIndell. Sean sits in with bands all over the Bay Area and is a full time member of an Americana band called Dirty Red Barn based out of Petaluma and is the Front Man for local blues favorites Sean Parnell & South County.

Resident DJ Loisaida opens.
