¡Acompañenos en una caminata por la naturaleza! Invitamos a la comunidad Latina y a quienes trabajan con ella y para ella a venir a un recorrido en Sugarloaf como parte de la primera anual Semana de los Parques Estatales de California (CA State Parks Week; June 14-18) presentado por California State Parks, Save the Redwoods League, Parks California and the California State Parks Foundation. A travéz de eventos comunitarios especiales en persona y virtuales, este evento celebra los 279 Parques Estatales de California y la gente que los visita y ayuda a protejer estos lugares icónicos.
Nos reuniremos afuera del centro de visitantes. La ruta será decidida ese día basada en el interés y habilidad del grupo. Viste calzado cómodo, trae agua, protección solar, y si lo deseas, un bocadillo. Este evento es gratuito pero requiere registración. Para registrarse, manda un correo electrónico a senderos@sonomaecologycenter.org El estacionamiento, usualmente $10, es gratis. Después de la caminata, te invitamos a acompañarnos en el área de picnic principal, para una comida estilo “potluck”– Alma traerá tostadas; ¡trae algo más para compartir (y tu plato, utensilios, etc)!

Join us for a walk in nature! We invite the Latino community and those work for in it and for it to an introduction to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park as part of the first annual California State Parks Week, (June 14-18) presented by California State Parks, Save the Redwoods League, Parks California and the California State Parks Foundation. Through special community events and in-person and virtual programming, this inaugural event celebrates California’s 279 state parks and the people who visit and help protect these iconic places.
Meet outside the Visitor Center. We will pick our route based on group interest and ability. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, layers, and if desired, a snack. Free event. To register, email senderos@sonomaecologycenter.org. At the end of the walk, we’ll have a potluck at the day-use picnic area. Alma will bring tostadas– bring something to share and your reusable plate/utensils/etc.!
