
The Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra and Santa Rosa Junior College Orchestra combine for a collaborative concert on Sunday, March 2 at 3pm. The venue is Weill Hall at the Green Music Center on the Sonoma State University campus.
The concert opens with the youth orchestra, conducted by Jaco Wong and Francesco Lecce-Chong performing movements from symphonies by Beethoven, Still and Dvorak. Then the JC Orchestra takes the stage with their conductor Cynthia Weichel to perform works by Verdi, Bates and Tcherepnin. The grand finale combines both orchestras on stage to perform two short movements from Rimsky-Korsakov’s Mlada Suite.
