SSU Senior Project Festival

Sat, May 8, 2021, 2:00 pm

Please join SSU’s Department of Theatre Arts & Dance for our newly envisioned Senior Project Festival 2021.

This Senior Project Festival is a production that is completely student driven. We have student directors, student choreographers, student designers, student stage managers and a student playwright! This production is a great opportunity to see the compilation of everything our students have learned in their time with us at SSU while also viewing the topics/projects they are passionate about.

To Be Seen Is To Be Heard…This is Who I am

Choreography by Brandon Lombardo

Friday, May 7 at 7pm Q&A Post show

Sunday, May 9 at 7pm

My project is about my life in a way that I have seen, lived, and felt it. Growing up I have felt out of place, looked at differently, beaten up (not literally), knocked down, been told I am not good enough, etc. This project has given me a voice where I can tell my honest truth and let people know that even if we experience hardships in our life we can still get back up thank our past, honors those in between, and look forward to a brighter future. Just keep being honest and truthful to yourself along the way.

Change, Shift, Flow

Choreography Brandon Leong and Sierra Parkhurst

Change shift flow is a collaborative project that explores the concepts of water and climate, through a creative and embodied lens. With 9 original dance films created through a hybrid of zoom and in person rehearsals, we explore the power of water and the ever increasing threat of climate change.
