Show from 4:45-7:00pm with one intermission
The Sound Field, a dynamic electric trio of Deb Grabien (guitars, baglama saz, vocals), Nic Grabien (bass) and Larry Luthi (drums), is awaiting the final touches on their third record. The first two featured everyone from Mark Karan (guitars) to Jason Crosby (fiddle) to Pete Sears (keyboards) to the late David Lindley (every instrument ever) on original songs from Deb Grabien. They also enjoy springing the occasional unexpected cover song on unexpecting listeners.
The Flying Salvias
They call their music Ameri-kinda, as their tunes repeatedly stray over the Americana border, blending country, pop, blues, beatnik jazz, swing, and old hippie influences.
Songwriters Henry (piano, accordion, vocals) and Kathleen Salvia (vocals, acoustic guitar) can be seen around the SF Bay Area in various configurations from duo to full troupe, and for this concert, as a quartet featuring Henry and Kathleen with David Phillips on pedal steel, and Dave Jess on bass.”
