"The Mousetrap" by Agatha Christie

Sat, December 14, 2019, 8:00 pm - 10:15 pm

Curtain Call Theatre is pleased to present “The Mousetrap”.
Agatha Christie’s longest running play in the history of British theater.
(The contract terms of the play state that no film version can be made until the West End show has been closed for at least six months.)
It is still playing in London to this day, sixty-three years after its premiere.
(It is a tradition in the theater to ask theater goers to resist the temptation of revealing the identity of the murderer to friends. It keeps the audience in suspense and increases their enjoyment of their own experience. We ask you to do the same.)
Director Michael Tabib has a long history with Agatha Christie. Michael’s fascination grew with the years as he read most of Christie’s novels. As a boy of eight, he first got a thrill when he discovered and read “A Murder Is Announced”.
The advertisement stated that a murder will be committed at a specific place and time. Indeed the murder happens, except that the one intending to commit the murder is killed! What ensues is an amazing plot with twists and turns and more murders until the redoubtable Miss Jane Marple, Christie’s famous heroine, solves the mystery and all is well with the world again.
