Parson Jones is the project of Northern California multi-instrumentalist/producer/singer Kerry Conlan. Kerry describes the project as nostalgic indie soul, heavily influenced and inspired by the likes of Curtis Mayfield and Motown from the past, and Son Little, Khruangbin and Gnarls Barkley from the present. In 2014, Parson Jones released the single “Make and Model” on French label Underdog Records, which has since passed 4 million plays on Spotify. In 2019, Parson Jones released an album, “Clear As Day”, which was reviewed in Rolling Stone France. In 2020, Kerry collaborated with English musician/singer/lyricist Just Jack on the single “Flat Earth Theme”. Recently revived as a solo project, look out for new songs and a new live act in 2023.

Steve Shirrell was born in Santa Rosa, and had his first local musical performance here in 1954. Dabbling at songwriting since 1959, he’s been an occasional member of local bands since the 60s. While his closest brush with “fame” was having The U.N. Shuffle aired by Dr. Demento in 1985 and a song featured on KRCB’s Connections 5 CD, his most consistent work has been supporting the Sonoma County music scene through his four decades at Stanroy Music Center.
