TRAIN WRECK JUNCTION:
Well I guess we can start with what I remember…we were sittin there at Maya’s bar, three good friends throwin a few back just passin the time, then had a few more and it wasn’t much longer after that that we were beltin the song 16 Tons (Tennessee Ernie Ford) through the entire restaurant. Now to our defense we had indulged in some of Maya’s finest tequila that afternoon and bein the trouble makers that we are we felt it was our benevolent duty to entertain the room, but unfortunately the owner of the establishment didn’t think so lol…We had always flirted with the idea of startin a band and it was about a week or two after that Maya incident where the idea actually turned into a reality…keep in mind though at this point there were only three of us; a singer, a cowboy who could play the spoons, and a piano player from Montana (Montana Joe). Since I was the singer it was my roll to search high and low for band mates, so I looked into Craigslist for the first time and titled the post “country singer lookin to start a band.” It only took a day or two till the responses started flowin in, so many individuals who showed interest in what I was tryin to put together, but when they asked “what all do you have in the band?” and I replied “a singer, spoons and a piano” they seemed to lose interest haha…than came a man named Josh Yenne a true music man who actually guided me, cause I honestly had no idea what the hell I was doin and told me what the band needed and from there out of a hay barn this dream of mine took flight. We were still a nameless band though and had struggled to find a title that fit this motley crew and the kinda country we were crankin out, but on a spring mornin in 2012 over a “hair of the dog” my friend Montana Joe and I looked at each other both comin off an epic night and he asked “what about Train Wreck?” Oh man the wheels startin spinnin, but I personally had always been a fan of the word “junction” so I fired back at him “what about Train Wreck Junction?!?!” and so here we are a couple years later, a box car full of scoundrels rollin into towns, tarrin up their dance floors with that good ole’ country music and leavin a mark with the brand Train Wreck Junction!!
