Trotta, Walters, and Lewis, formerly known as The Don Trotta Band, is a California based Reggae/Americana/Spiritual music group consisting of Don Trotta (guitar,vocals, ukulele), Dann Walters (bass) and Mingo Lewis Jr. (drums). Formed in 2017 in Northern California, this trio released its first CD ‘Sunflower” in June of 2018.
This band has a love of roots reggae and has blended elements of folk, rock, blues, and reggae music to create a unique sound. During their shows they mix their originals with covers of classic rock and reggae songs.
Trotta is a prolific poet with a knack for telling a story on paper. His lyrics convey his love of family, community, and his creator. He strives to write songs that express his positive attitude towards life.
Walters and Lewis establish a strong foundation for Trotta’s melodies and the trio produces a very energetic sound for such a modest line up.
