Windsor Fiestas Patrias

Celebrate a traditional Fiestas Patrias on the Windsor Town Green from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. The event marks Mexico’s offical Dia de Indepencia (Independence Day). It’s celebrated annually in plazas across Mexican cities and towns with parades of local community leaders, music, dance, fireworks, and food. Bring your low-backed beach chairs or camp chairs to sit on the Windsor Town Green and enjoy the warm afternoon and evening with music, dance, and dinner from your favorite street trucks. Browse  a market full of goods made by local Latino artisans. Try out your Latin dance moves or just enjoy the scene during a concert by Latina pop star Rocio La Dama de Cumbia and her band. Music and activities are free. Food, drink and artisan market goods are for sale.
