Women’s March Santa Rosa 2020

Sat, January 18, 2020, 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Women’s March Santa Rosa 2020 is on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Courthouse Square from 10AM – 1:30PM

Schedule of the event:

10:00AM – WE GATHER … local organizations will be tabling, free sign making supplies and children’s activities available

11:00AM – WE RALLY … a program of local speakers speak their truth

12:15PM – WE MARCH … we step off onto closed downtown streets for our march (see route map below)

What about the WEATHER? … our event will happen light rain or shine … we will keep you posted as the date draws near if we see any difficulties with this.

The MARCH is less than 0.25miles. Why so short? We want to make the march accessible to everyone and have impact. Additionally, we utilize closed* city streets and the costs, labor and safety considerations all added up make it more effective to keep the march length to less than 0.25miles.

PARKING – Street metered parking is along Courthouse Square and on 4th Street..,meters are operational starting at 9AM. Additionally there are parking garages conveniently located within walking distance on on the March route. For more information about parking visit the City of Santa Rosa Parking website at: https://www.srcity.org/177/Parking

How is Women’s March Santa Rosa affiliated with the national Women’s March? Women’s March Santa Rosa 2020 is listed as a sister march on the national Women’s March site but we receive no funding, direction or support from the national organization. Women’s March Santa Rosa is a locally organized event.

For the last three years, we have come together to protest, speak truth to power, show our strength in numbers, create a blue wave and now with the 2020 elections in sight we come together to win.

In 2020, we march together in strength, we go to the polls honoring our history of struggle for enfranchisement, and we will win for future generations!

Rise Up!
